Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Edward Lazear Delivers Address on the Economy

In his first major public address since taking office on February 27, 2006, Honorable Edward P. Lazear, Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, will discuss the state of the economy and the labor market, as well as productivity growth, wages, income inequality and mobility. Afterwards, he will take audience questions. Before coming to the Council of Economic Advisers, Dr. Lazear was a member of President Bush’s Advisory Panel on Tax Reform. He is on leave of absence from Stanford University where he is the Jack Steele Parker Professor of Human Resources Management and Economics (1995) and the Morris Arnold Cox Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.
