Although now gone, Benazir Bhutto left behind her a political testament completed shortly before her death and now published as a book entitled Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy and the West. Her book was meant not only for her native land but for the Muslim world generally. It is the first book by a major Muslim political leader which presents a principled argument for moderation and tolerance and a critique of radical Islam. As such, this book will have a significant role in public discussion and debate.
