Our nation’s commitment to universal telecommunications has created a vibrant network of rural telecommunications providers.  These organizations have a significant impact on the communities they serve.  Further, they create demand for goods and services beyond the rural areas they serve.

A new report, The Economic Impact of Universal Telecommunications, from Hudson Institute provides a comprehensive look at the economic impact of rural telecommunications providers, including a state-by-state analysis of their economic impact.

The report's author, Hanns Kuttner, a Hudson Institute Visiting Fellow and former White House Domestic Policy staff member, presented this economic analysis. Hanns was introduced by FRS Board President Tom Conry.
