Reed Hundt, former Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, is coauthor with Blair Levin of a new book,The Politics of Abundance: How Technology Can Fix the Budget, Revive the American Dream, and Establish Obama's Legacy (Odyssey Editions, 2012).

 

Hundt discussed his new book and his views on policies that affect the future of technology.

 

From 1993-1997, Reed Hundt was Chairman of the FCC. Previously he was a partner at Latham & Watkins. Hundt is currently the CEO of the Coalition for Green Capital, a nonprofit corporation, as well as Principal of REH Advisors, an advisory firm serving private firms. He is on the board of directors of Intel Corporation, ASSIA, and Kno, Inc., and also three nonprofit organizations, the United Negro College Fund, the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority of Connecticut, and the Advanced Energy Economy Institute.

 

In addition, Hundt is on the Advisory Board of the Yale School of Management, Peek Inc., and Mytonomy. He is a senior advisor to Skadden, Arps, a law firm, and GTCR, a private equity firm. Reed also serves on the Audit Committee of the Climate Reality Project and was Chairman of the (IDEA) Project.
