What gives? This morning Christopher Sands tackled the topic of social license in a talk titled “From NIMBY to NOPE -- and maybe back to yes.” Now more than ever, business leaders and policy makers are contemplating the consequences of energy exports from the west coast of North America to foreign markets. What are the boundaries in this era of social licence and is the quest for it the thing that will bring balance back to public discussions and create success for resource projects? What makes a true NIMBY?
