Senator Todd Young

U.S. Senator for Indiana

**Please be advised: This event premiered at 9:00 a.m. EDT, Thursday, April 16.**

Join Hudson Institute for a conversation with U.S. Senator Todd Young on the technological innovation needed to ensure a more secure and prosperous future for the United States.

Senator Young serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and chairs the Subcommittee on Multilateral and International Development. He also sits on the Finance Committee, the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, and the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

Highlighting China’s ongoing disinformation campaign to hide the origins of COVID-19 and expand Beijing’s global influence, Senator Young recently noted that “now is the time for America and our allies to invest in ourselves and give the world a clear alternative. With advanced technology and a stronger economy, America will maintain the wherewithal to meet the challenges that an increasingly assertive China poses to our national interests.”

Moderated by Hudson Senior Fellow Arthur Herman, this discussion will explore how the U.S. can invest in crucial technologies to meet the economic challenges of the pandemic and other future threats. They will also discuss the importance of a bipartisan National Innovation Strategy to promote long-term technological advancement and strategies for countering China’s efforts to surpass American innovation and global leadership.
